Thriller è una canzone di Michael Jackson composta da Rod Temperton e prodotta da Quincy Jones pubblicata nella maggior parte dei paesi il 12 novembre 1983 e negli Stati Uniti il 23 gennaio del 1984, tratta dall’omonimo album ritenuto il disco più venduto nella storia della musica con una stima di oltre 115 milioni di copie all’attivo. Prima che il singolo fosse pubblicato, Michael Jackson aveva deciso di chiamarlo Give Me Starlight , poiché l’album Thriller doveva intitolarsiStarlight. In seguito l’idea fu scartata e sia l’album che il singolo vennero chiamati entrambi Thriller. Thriller è stato il singolo di maggior successo di Michael Jackson dopo Billie Jean (sempre dell’album Thriller), si piazzò quarto nella Billboard Hot 100 statunitense, decimo in quella inglese, ventunesimo in quella tedesca, primo in quella francese, quarto in Australia, terzo in Danimarca, primo in Belgio ed infine primo nella classifica dance americana di Billboard (posizione che mantenne per undici settimane consecutive, record).
